Boutique Hotel

About This Project

Immersive lighting that is both discrete and clever was the brief.  How can we automate the lights so that throughout the day the scenes change to match the mood of the hotel?

With a huge investment being made on the interior scheme, this luxury boutique hotel wanted a lighting control system that was both easy to use and matched the design and style of the hotel.  In the communal areas such as the Dining rooms and Bar, they wanted the lights to be automated throughout the day, based on both the time of day and the dusk and dawn times for where they are.  All of this is possible using the Lutron lighting control system that was incorporated.

In the guest rooms, lighting control was equally important.  With several light fittings in each room, it was important that guests got a magical first impression when walking in to their room and lighting control from the reception desk allows staff to enable a ‘Welcome’ scene.  Once in the room, guests have a simple and easy to use keypad, engraved to show the different ‘moods’ available to them without being bamboozled by a large bank of light switches.
